After more than 5,000 posts there are few posts that I properly remember. I’m proud of the GYBO series and some of the other interviews I’ve done. But a post I did in September 2010 always sticks in my mind. It was on a remix done by London’s Eat More Cake of Stardust’s Music Sounds Better With You, where I said “Does the world really need such a thing?” Apparently it did, since it then got hyped, had many thousands of plays and I got embarrassed.

Four years later, EMC are revisiting the scene of the crime for a new edit of the track. They claim it’s a “clubbier” version (whatever that means). This version is less poppy than the earlier one, less reliant on the piano line and has a more beats-driven focus. So, it only remains for me to say, does the world really need such a thing?
