There is only one way to fight, and that’s dirty
Elliot Adamson’s Dirty Art EP gets a formal release. Expect dark techno.
Deprivation moans and groans as it writhes in the darkness. Heb 12:2 might be “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” but the tune’s no more cheery. Bits of metal clang against other bits of metal. A synth does rise but only to fall again to the clashing machines. Starlight is more like stars being sucked into black holes under the weight of eternal hopelessness. Only on final track Features is there any semblance of hope. But for this EP, that’s only relative. Only the pounding beat can endure.
