We are always beginners in the art of compassion

Music can change the world because it can change people. Far be it from me to argue with the sainted Bono but that is making claims that a few guitar chords can’t bear. But it can evoke emotion, especially at the extremes of sad, happy, angry. And, indeed, the best music touches us in these primitive emotive ways. I usually try to start Mondays on a positive note, for that very reason. But today I’m not. I’m going for something more contemplative from Suburban DreamĀ and, especially on the first track, beautiful but wistful and coming down.

Clear yourself a little space in your day and have a listen to this mix. It’s all original music from Ciaran McCarthy (for Suburban Dream is he) and occasionally we need to reflect is on what has been, what should have been and what could be.

Tracklist: Holding Back, We Long To Be, We Still Do It, New Year’s Day, Not Who You Said, The Power of Doubt, Kid Loco – Theme From The Graffiti Artist (Suburban Dream Remix), Wandering Around (Spooky O’Mansions Remix), Everything Comes Apart
