Gear sequential multiple frequencies immersed in discourses created with eteros places
Let’s try that again “Gear sequential multiple frequencies immersed in discourses created with eteros places.” That’s the confusing ambition of Diffuse Reality Records. Seems like it translates into a desire to deliver a range of different (diffuse?) types of electronic music. One for lovers of the leftfield.
Their debut 12″ is a double-header. Ben Gibson leads off with Shirahata. This is a lovely techno house tune that builds and builds. Lovely tune and easily the pick of the four here. Sunil Sharpe gives it a dirty techno makeover that sullies some of what made the original great. Rodrigo Garcia’s offering is Muntage. This is more avowedly techno, with an electro buzzing edge. It gets remixed by Myk Derill in a minimal Spartan way. Drums pound and smiles are uncracked.
