Revenu – Graham Bond

Funny how things go. Got the new Masque single from Revenu (Liam van Rijn) which is kind of ok but nothing special and was about to dump it when I thought I might as well have a quick listen to the B side, named (so I thought) after an American rocker of the 80s. And it turns out to be this lovely little gem of downtempo, slightly crackly, electronica. Built around a soft Hammond organ chord, this has a woozy charm.

It’s called Graham Bond but I was remembering Gary US Bonds. Doh!

Revenu is the electronic music outlet for Liam van Rijn. Based in Hull, UK, he produces and DJs experimental electronic music geared towards the dance floor.

His first release, ‘Masque’, along with B-side ‘Graham Bond’, show his range of influences from house / techno / experimental and downtempo.
Revenu’s music has been featured on Capital Xtra, Rinse FM, NTS, Resonance FM and Shoreditch Radio. He also recently joined up with the Sub FM family, bringing his sound alternate Fridays from 10am – 12pm.
