Space tech and a whinge
Here’s some lovely space tech from Space Above. But first, a whinge.
This whinge is one I’ve been resisting for a very long while. But, as a pedant, I can resist no longer. It’s about Your / You’re. Yup. It’s that petty.
-
belonging to or associated with the person or people that the speaker is addressing.“what is your name?”
-
belonging to or associated with any person in general.“the sight is enough to break your heart”
-
you are.
Dear PR companies, it’s not that difficult. Don’t write “Hope your good”. You should be writing “Hope you’re good” as the contraction of “you are”. Please. Yes? And before anyone feels the need to say that communication is about getting a message across and I know their meaning so I should quit belly-aching. I’m quite aware of that. Nevertheless, it matters to me.
Anyhow, from New Zealand comes Space Above. They describe their style as space tech. Dunno about that but This Is It hums with grandeur, a buzzing soul and an epic indie dance intent.
Hear, hear. Learn to spell correctly, you philistines!

Your complaint is totally justified, and you’re quite astute to point out the misuse.
