Steve Cobby – Clams (Tempelhof remix)

Zane Ninjago

While we’re having an older remix from Steve Cobby, here’s a new remix of Steve Cobby. Tempelhof takes Clams from his excellent Everliving album and turns in a stunning ambient remix.

The original of Clams from Everliving is a squelchy thing, drifting slowly along and a bassy kind of way. Kinda theremin. This remix takes that theremin air as its jumping off point. The track slowly sidles into view on a wave of delicate theremin and plucked dulled strings. It then morphs into an almost Japanese downtempo funk. Such an assured air. To take on something from Everliving is a tough ask but this can stand proudly alongside. Get yerself a copy from Bandcamp – it’s only £1.
