Out Of Thought

People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use says Kierkergaard. Me, I’m too busy thinking inside the box and trying to work out what my son wants for breakfast. This stopped my usual train of unthought. It’s experimental techno that avoids the monotonous beats all too often employed. It offers rolling whoops and a definite acid aroma.

Blurb: Fabien’s latest indie release ‘Out Of Thought’ takes a slower approach to Techno, heavily driven by its rolling bassline and acid like bass modulations. It’s progressive nature will absorb you and keep you wondering what’s next. Out Of Thought is available on Fabien’s personal bandcamp store.

Fabien is a Cape Town based Techno / House producer and DJ, founder and label boss of Stay Fresh (SA).

Fabien began his musical career as a drummer and played for various local Cape Town bands from 2008 – 2012, he officially made the switch to producing and DJing in 2011, which since then it has has become his main focus.

Fabien has always had a passion for the underground dance music scene, when it comes to his productions he doesn’t stick to one specific genre of dance music and prefers to keep each production unique yet relevant to his surroundings, although almost all of his productions are some variant or combination of House and Techno music. Still new to the scene Fabien is becoming more and more  known for his experimental techno sets and out of the box approach he brings to both his sets and productions.

Besides making music and DJing Fabien spends most of his time running Stay Fresh Records, his independent label that focuses on the emerging artist and DJ rather then the established star. They boast an eclectic array of electronic music ranging from Electronica and Techno to mixed genres of House music and very much like Fabien think outside the box.
