ICE 553

ICE 553 is the train from Koblenz to Berlin. But, hey, you’re so pro-European you knew that didn’t you? It’s also a nice, funky bubbly techno track from m.a.l.m.r.

m.a.l.m.r. offers Booka Shade and Dan Curtin as  reference points. And you can see that. There’s a strong techno strain in ICE553. This music can only be made by machines. But there’s also a slight loose funk to give it a little hip wriggle. There’s also a version without the intoned train stations but somehow that detracts, not adds, to the track. Great modern techno.
