Film Music is Chris Coco’s and Lol Hammond’s ongoing series of downtempo cinematic releases. We reach release 4 which features Paul Hartnoll. of Orbital fame.
Of the Film Music Series, Vol 2 included Roger Eno and Vol 3 James Brooks. Having Paul Hartnoll on-board for this one is a great move. He adds a strong dose of electronica to the Coco and Hammond duo. This Is My Horizon (Coming Home) is a lovely tune in its own right, let alone being lost in a film. It manages presence and weightlessness. It’s ambient electronica but with a deep bass line and a piano lead. This is wonderful.
