Ten Fé – Turn (Ewan Pearson Remix)

You might remember that a month ago we had the original version of Ten Fé – Turn. This was produced by Ewan Pearson and I said that he’d done a remix. It’s now available, shortly on 7″ vinyl. Have a listen to this blissed house roller. All very Weatherallesque, and you can’t get a higher compliment than that on this blog.

Ewan eschews a radical remake in favour of upping the place of the bass line in the mix and maxing out on the blissed harmonies. It’s has that sprawling, spiralling, chugging sense of great tracks. It rolls around with a sense of the inevitableness of crushing everything in its path but with the harmonies aching at the loss involved.

Remix of ‘Turn’ by Ewan Pearson. Pre-order the 7″ vinyl including the original single and Ewan Pearson remix from Rough Trade www.roughtrade.com/music/turn (in stores 21 October)!

The band’s hybrid sound of Americana, driving electronics and blissed-out vocal harmonies is finding supporters and fans all over. Having produced the single and forthcoming LP, Ewan puts a chugging house spin on the ‘Turn’ original.
