back and forth from Poland to Portugal

The back and forth from Poland to Portugal is between Baswoom and Stationer. Their album Depths is a mix of classical influences, especially piano, and ambient sounds on the one hand with some contrasting elements of distortion on the other.

They say “The main idea behind Depths is to invoke a feeling of being lost in sonic waves surrounded by sounds coming from all directions” and that means that the tracks have a tendency to rather run one into another. That means the album is best swallowed whole for the full effect it evokes. And it is terrifically atmospheric.

Blurb: Depths is a collision of ideas and a mix of different approaches, a blend of rough, dirty. noisy textures and delicate harmonies and melodies.  Composed, recorded and mixed over the course of 9 months, with ideas constantly running back and forth from Poland to Portugal.  The main idea behind Depths is to invoke a feeling of being lost in sonic waves surrounded by sounds coming from all directions.
