System360 Reflected

Never heard of New Zealand’s System 360 but he’s a new Reflected EP out now and it contains some lovely chilled electronica.

Opener Reflected takes on some chilled piano to go with its relaxed deep house sounds. Light To You is much more dub techno influenced. And I love a bit of dub techno, wood blocks n’ all. In Edge of Time the mood gets a bit bassier and a bit darker, whilst essentially remaining pretty chilled in a disturbed kind of way. Closer Alchemy is sent packing to Berlin, with it’s twangy techno-driven darkness. An EP to listen to from start to finish and then to play all over again. Not a weak track here.

Blurb: System360 is a passionate music maker from deepest New Zealand, usually found DJ’ing on Saturday nights from a small caravan outfitted with a low power transmitter. Minor chords, rumbling bass, and swinging rhythms are usually heard emanating from within the gorge where this secluded producer resides. Reflected EP on System360’s ntier label features four brilliant deep house cuts that draw upon elements of dub, classic house, and cinematic textures. These sounds are ripe for discovery.
