Thursday twosome from Faodail and Wayward
This Thursday’s twosome comes with a delicate step from Faodail and Wayward.
Faodail has appeared here before with his ambient tunes. This one’s not quite so ambient. There’s the delicate clattering of Burial’s early work combined with the lush soft house approach of Maribou State. Frayed therefore can’t quite be pigeonholed as ambient, as it’s too spritely for that but neither is it quite dancey enough for house. It managed a yearning quality that is delightful. Free download.
This is Wayward’s first time here. Alexandra is a more obviously house track but still manages that delicacy in the opening section which makes it the perfect companion to Faodail. Ultimately, it blossoms into an acid influenced track that lifts you higher and higher.
