Deep house duo from Jake Kaiser and ZTP #deephouse #electronic

Two deep house tunes from Jake Kaiser and ZTP for a funky Tuesday.

Jake first. He’s been here a few times this autumn. Today’s track is Fern #7. A rather odd name for which Jake explains “This track reminded me of driving up to hike in the redwoods with its tribalish groove and that’s where the name came from as I love the fern undergrowth beneath the canopy.” As to the track, its one of those that offers instant hooks with its tribal tom toms and sleazy bass. It then won’t release its grip as a lovely lead line comes bobbling into play. This track delights in the process of living.

ZTP is from the Netherlands and the track Unstirred belies its name. There’s something very 90s going on here. Reminded me in places of some Guerilla releases from the 90s, as it has a bit of the progressive house thing going on. Lots of keyboard stabs, great percussion and a tiny touch of acid makes this a wigged out club track. Hey, there’s even a “drop the bass” sample. What more could you want from a track?
