Deep house duo with Frank Serin and Leisure Music Productions #deephouse #house #electronic

Two deep house tracks today from Frank Serin and Leisure Music Productions.

Frank Serin from Peru first with the rather lovely Endless Flight. One of those deep house tunes that’s really rather chilled. But it’s no drifting affair, since it has more than a little dose of unexpected acid sounds. It’s therefore no surprise that Frank says “I’ve been listening to a lot of lo-fi house, a bit of acid house, so I started using those sounds as an influence.” Acid and deep house is hardly a usual combination but Frank makes it work brilliantly. There’s just a touch of Ultramarine’s pastoral approach to acid about all this.

Austria’s Leisure Music Productions offers chilled deep house with Haubentaucher, which I think means great crested grebe (and is the bird of the track cover). That would also explain the bird sounds at the start of this lightly dubbed track. Takes me back to the halcyon days of K&D in Vienna. The track does gain a bit of momentum later on but this is hardly club music. Think relaxed beach party or perhaps an afternoon at a Wiener Kaffeehaus. Mine’s a sacher torte.
