Sunday techno with Tomcraft and sub sequence #techno #electronic
As seems to be the coming routine, here’s a couple of techno tunes for your Sunday morning. This time from Tomcraft and sub sequence.
Munich’s Tomcraft first. Not a name I’ve ever focused on before but You Don’t Know, a forthcoming release on Baroque Records (out 8 June), is rather fine. It’s a clever mix of the melodic and harsh, combining beats with a lsight edge and melodic synths. It’s aimed at a dance floor but has enough wit to also work at home. A buzzing grower this is a damn fine tune, twisting its way through seven minutes of synapse enhancing pleasure.
Next, also from Germany, sub sequence. Back for a third offering, this time subtle force. A pacey techno track with definite undercurrents. He says “enjoy the weightless pull of subtle forces.” I’m not so sure. There’s a rich darkness here with a pull that’s all too apparent, so seductive is it. It’s the depth of the bass that really makes this track work.
