Deep double downtempo with Em Flach and Deisen #downtempo #chill #electronic

Two downtempo tracks for you from Australia’s Em Flach and Germany’s Deisen.

Em Flach offers the beauty of Crushed. A piano-led ambient track that wrong foots with a sample about “the bad man.” But it can’t help but be gorgeously organic through the piano and the occasional strain of cornet trumpet. A chiming track of deepest olive green. Shaken but definitely not stirred.

Germany’s Deisen gives us Ekstase. The title offers thoughts of whirling beats and total abandon. The track swerves that cliche with a low key introduction that allows a slow, gradual build. A sample about a new drug is dropped but the restraint continues. Deisen says “Deep jungle downtempo with some desert dust on top.” There’s an air of the quietly tripping about all of this through the pervasive sense of psychedelia. Mood piece.
