Walter Mmari returns with Legions. It’s only short, at 2:30 but it’s so evocative. Ambient soundtrack stuff for sure. But also more. Much more. There are strings of deeply unsettling sadness and a whooshing otherworldliness. This is the world stopping spinning on its axis. This is the end. Of everything.

Next Tacent. From Sweden they are a brand new Swedish techno duo Adrian Lux & Axel Bauer. The track is Palma, unsurprisingly written in Mallorca. The track is an ambient techno / deep house cross. Can’t have been a good holiday as this is no fun filled sun splashed holiday romance. It’s an orchestral, dark overture kind of tune full of bass synths and ominous drums. Its six minutes are filled with drama and lowering skies. Delightfully gloomy.
