Dzill from Brooklyn, New York returns with some IDM the title track from his new Sedona EP.
I assume the Sedona of the title is the city in Arizona. This is a track that consciously mixes a gritty urban feel with something a bit more organic and open air. He says he wants to try for a darker, deeper sound on the EP and this track certianly achieves it. The intro has a dark IDM quality full of urban menace. And the rush and clatter of the city. But it soon leaves the city behind, breaking out into progressive piano and optimistic chords. Gives the track a properly thrilling quality. Never dropping the inventive approach this is not a straightforward tune. Needs some patience given the complexity of what is on offer. Quality electronic music.
