It’s time to get down: Amtrac – Formal Disco #disco #deepHouse #lofi #electronic #newMusic

What is a formal disco? It is black tie? Or is it the ‘no trainers smart jeans only’ rule much beloved of small town discos in the good old days? Perhaps we should return to the suits with flares and frilly shirts that formed the uniform of the choral disco classics of my youth. Whatever your interpretation, this is the instruction on Amtrac’s second release of the year Formal Disco.

This is a wonderfully warm, lush deep house disco track. There is stabbing piano for a gentle piano house sound and swirling whirls of disco confectionary. The bass line is funky yet not overwhelming. A subtle synth styling that works perfectly in harmony with the piano and the beats. This is smile on your face forever stuff.

Blurb: Amtrac is set to drop his second single of the year Formal Disco, the highly anticipated follow up to 2017’s Informal Disco.. The first quarter of the year has been an active one for the accomplished producer and label head, having overseen the release of several tastemaking records from the likes of Amtrac himself, Durante, and Rick Trainor on his label Openers. Amtrac’s seemingly natural aptitude for consistency and abundant creative output continues to grow even stronger; keeping up a demanding touring schedule, managing his own record label, and scoring video games have not been a hindrance to doing what he does best – producing world class dance music.
