Train tracks of the mind with: Atomic Skunk – Woodberry Train #ambient #NewMusic

Here’s a rather beautiful ambient soundscape from San Francisco Bay Area based musician, Atomic Skunk (Rich Brodsky). Based on childhood memories Woodberry Train is a gentle journey through the backwaters of the mind.

Atomic Skunk says that the song is, “based on an old childhood memory of a game I played with my friends in Woodbury, New York around the age of 7-8, called “Twelve O’Clock Noon Train”. 3 or 4 of us would get onto one of those bench type swings and swing hard up and down for a minute or 2 and then when the swing would stop, we would be in a “NEW LAND”.” You can clearly hear the influences of people like The Orb here. From the opening train noises coming at you from far off to the soft arrival of the beats. Everything whooshes to and fro. There’s a hazy half remember dreamlike quality  to the ambient electronic and then like all such memories it doesn’t last long before it fades.
