Too hot in the city with: Saros-FM, and KDDC #ambient #electronic #NewMusic
The last day of the long weekend and in UK terms it’s going to be a scorcher. 31 degrees in the city. Can’t cope with anything too active, so let’s chill (in so far as possible) with Saros-FM and KDDC.
Louisiana’s Saros-FM returns with seasonally adjusted track Snowfall, taken from the album Music for Minecraft. THis is a low, slow track. No beats. It’s all about the gently unfolding melody, that takes its sweet time. And the sawing of strings. As gentle as a snowflake and as majestic as their crystaline form.

Next, newcomer KDDC. From Slovakia, he offers Magicland Hymn. This starts off as somewhere between hymn and synth overture. It has a slow, majestic build. Adding layer after layer of sound such that it gradually towers over you. Drums come with a martial air to encourage you to pick up the pace and bow down in front of such splendor.
