all things in nature occur mathematically: Molina – Music and the Mathematics #Lofi #House #PianoHouse #Electronic #NewMusic

I was never one for Maths myself. Always struggled. I side with Malcolm X who said, “I’m sorry to say that the subject I most disliked was mathematics. I have thought about it. I think the reason was that mathematics leaves no room for argument. If you made a mistake, that was all there was to it.” Today’s artist, Molina, on the other hand would probably more agree with GK Chesteron who said “The difference between the poet and the mathematician is that the poet tries to get his head into the heavens while the mathematician tries to get the heavens into his head.”

Molina is from Turkey and is giving lofi House a good go on Music and the Mathematics. This is a 90s looking piano house tune that shimmers with mystic numbers. Taken from the For The Stars EP, the track begins with wobbling spacey synths before opening out into a bass kick and tom toms. Has a sense of a journey and something strange. That element is played up through the addition of a vocal sample that’s ‘lost’ in the background. A sense of epic proportion suffuses the track. There are some big numbers here. Huge. Polynomial house, even.
