Progressive house isn’t always my thing. But when it’s taken to dark corners. And especially when it’s mixed with a bit of techno edge. It can produce something wonderful. And that’s what Dark Matter does here. On Once Again some pumping progressive house is given a bit of a techno roughing up and a slight trance twist. Beat and bass combine in liquid sump oil tones and synths glitter brightly on top. The emergent whole has both melody and menace in equal measure.
