Maiden Jaunt is the title track of the album of the same name. It’s a chilled ambient track which aims for an introverted downtempo downbeat air. It’s reflective and meditative. There are one note solos and strings that offer melancholy. Synth drones that wash away the pain. It’s curiously uplifting. Anhedral says, “with only one sole purpose; to really understand how sounds, alone, can also speak. It may not be as straightforward as written lyrics, but I’m pretty sure it tells something.” It tells your story in your way.
