MOAB DEP is a mysterious artist from Australia. The name stands for Melodies Of Ancient Beats Depth or Deep, (with Dep also meaning beautiful in Indonesian). The track is Everything Eye Love. It’s a strange one. It’s a bit House and sometimes a bit Techno, in a melodic kind of way. But it’s also neither of those categorisations. There’s bits of synth pop, bits of piano house, even a bit of hip hop rhythm. There’s more than a little of Coldcut style experimentation but with a bit less of the cut and paste ethic.
