Downtempo week end with: Radiating Circles – Curtains #Downtempo #Electronic #Chill

It’s the last day of this working week in the UK. A public holiday tomorrow. That rather means two days work crammed into one today. Seeking solace in some downtempo from Radiating Circles.

Radiating Circles is is a Scottish techno/house producer living in Melbourne, Australia. Radiating Circles has been making music from way back. He has a foundational knowledge in classical piano and jazz, and decades as a drummer, plus a grounding in techno. The track is Curtains. An ambiguous title in these strange days. A track of found sound of people together which now sounds a bit odd. It’s allied to some quite classical piano and some shuffling jazz beats. Electronics are there but largely kept out of sight, except for an almost techno bass. But it’s the melancholy contrast between the solitary music and the populated found sound that gives this track its strength and beauty.
