Dreamy electronics from: Fake Fever – Snowfields #Ethereal #Electronic

It’s early in the morning but the sun is already blazing. Let’s kick back and relax with the chilly dreaminess of Fake Fever on Snowfields from the Surrogate release.

Fake Fever self-describes as, “Damaged beats and dreamy hooks from Charleston, SC.” Snowfields is a track that emerges, rather than starts. It’s a pulsing, hissing, concatenation of noise from which wordless ethereal vocals emerge alongside slow drifting piano sounds. It’s all eventually resolved into an ambient chill that still contains a little IDM strangeness to stop you every quite feeling balanced. This is less hammock tunes and more lucid dreaming music. It’s the noise of the vapour coming from sun-warmed frost in the early morning. There are beats but they’re left late in the track and gallop away in a half-heard beyond the horizon kind of way. Enjoy the reverie to be found here.
