Go to another space with: KLANGPLANET – Floating #DeepHouse #House #Techno #MelodicTechno

Klangplanet returns with something to take your mind off this earth and to look out into the heavens. The track is Floating. And it can’t decide whether it’s deep house or melodic techno. And that’s just fine by me. Who needs to stick with the road much travelled?

The track is a tribute to the Gemini 4 space mission from June 1965. It was the tenth crewed American spaceflight. Astronauts James McDivitt and Ed White circled the Earth 66 times in four days. The highlight of the mission was the first space walk by an American, during which White floated free outside the spacecraft, tethered to it, for approximately 20 minutes. It’s where that iconic picture of the astronaut comes from.

As a track, it starts with some hard, rather techno, beats alongside Mission Control samples. It boosts off into the unknown where the track becomes looser and that bit softer. There’s an almost digital funk element to the synths as they bounce along with a downtempo keyboard sound. And the beats get more into deep house space. Shake your zero G thang.
