A slow start to Monday with some downtempo that has more than a touch of acid about it from Simeon Rodgers.
Simeon is from from London. Aren’t all the best people? His track is the lovely yet experimental Endlove. It’s one part Max Cooper IDM melodic experimental, one part 90s acid, and one part psychedelia. It’s a kaleidoscope of sound. The oscillating video (a vintage analog oscilloscope) is just perfect as a visual accompaniment to the track. It has a vibrating hum. Except for the bits that bobble along. It’s Radiohead if they learned how to do electronics properly and ditched the Thom fella.
Perfect use of proper analogue sounds.
