Progressive house charms with: Yeti Tears – The Portal #ProgressiveHouse #House

How is your week going? It’s Thursday. Not too long to the weekend. Here’s something uplifting to get you over into Friday from US artist Yeti Tears.
Yeti Tears is an American artivist and producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He is Miguel Tully originally from Arlington, VA. He was a soldier in the US Army. After suffering a stroke, he founded GI Greens in Colorado in 2014 to advocate for Veterans. But for the last couple of years he’s been doing music as Yeti Tears.
The track is The Portal taken from his new Canary In A Coal Mine EP. It is dedicated to the work of Eric R. Weinstein and his podcast called The Portal where, Yeti Tears says “great minds come together to discuss deep matters in our World and Society.” Means nothing to me. But the tune is a thing of uplifting beauty. It takes some simple, affecting chords and lets them soar. There are beats there but only really operating as a basic platform for the central synths to roll and riff joyously along. It’s the sound of a wormhole twisting in space.
