Featurecast ft. John Turrell – Ain’t My Style (HeavyFeet Remix)

Been a couple of months since our last HeavyFeel post. Here’s a remix for Featurecast with John Turrell. The original mix has too much soulful house in it for me. Although this remix has plenty of vocal house, the real win here is the sub-bass line, which humms and throbbs away like the undertow on a dnb track. Lovely stuff.

Blurb: After whetting the appetites of the bass crew with his “Around The Block EP” – Featurecast steps up to the plate with his first full single and remix package for jalapeno in the shape of “Ain’t My Style”.
The single features the vocals of the UK’s most exciting new soul singer John Turrell with Featurecast making sure the production is tight as always. The main album version takes the irresistibly catchy vocal and matches it up with searing synths while the Featurecast funk re-work turns up the heatwith a version that will keep fans of his old Good Groove releases more than happy. Remixes come courtesy of Manchester ‘s always strong HeavyFeet who provide a firing 4/4 garage version with a system shaking bassline while cosmic dons Psychemagik go Balearic on it with a strong vocal and dub version showing why they are the ones to watch in 2012. Featurecast will release his debut album Run For Cover on Jalapeno in September 2012.
