Mr Scruff ‘Chin Up’ from the ‘Thirty One Songs’ Compilation
Been a while since we had any Mr Scruff. He’s back with a previously unreleased track for the new Thirty One Songs compilation compiled by Dave Haslam for the CALM charity.
This is one of Mr Scruff’s funk workouts, underpinned by a throbby, twangy base. It is supplemented by piano and flute. It does all get a bit lounge lizard in parts but overall pleasant.
Blurb: This tune was recorded during the Ninja Tuna sessions in 2008 and has been unreleased until now. It features Kaidi Tatham & Andy Kingslow on keys & percussion, and Kaidi on flute. It is released on the ‘Thirty One Songs’ compilation of rare and exclusive tracks by Manchester artists, curated & compiled by Dave Haslam.
