Sunday selection: Tokimonsta, N’to and Ametrine

Sunday’s selection of melodic moments are from TOKiMONSTA, N’to and Ametrine.

TOKiMONSTA offers something – Wonders – that’s ostensibly techno but is, in CRi’s hands, something much more ethereal than that. Crisp beats and lots of soft synth sounds cause pleasure rushes.

N’to offers La Cle Des Champs. He is, naturally, French. His biog says that “Using two keyboards and a synthesizer, N’to solely creates his own sounds by experimenting with instruments.” There’s more than a little JMJ about all this but it’s beautifully put together to give some soaring neo-classical synth sounds.

And finally, Equinox by Ametrine (Jon Nesmith). The most conventionally dancey of the trio, this is closest to progressive house but has that hazy beach vibe which gives it an extra edge.
