NEW MUSIC: SIGNAL DELUXE

A track to download from Signal Deluxe’s new album. Something which claims “A visionary explosion of dubstep, techno and rock rhythms” makes my heart sink. As does the blurb’s talk of “cosmic wave of signals“. This should be a sludgy mess. But it isn’t. It is a bit rock-ish, with the guitars. But it has more post rock or avante garde hip hop about it. A bit like the cLoudDead meets Boards of Canada from a few years ago.

Blurb: A Morning Filled With Four Hundred Billion Suns is a cosmic wave of signals washing upon our earthly shores, the sky calls to us we will one day venture to the skies in this beautiful machinery of nature. The sun dust, the morning skies….Our footprint rises on the distant moon testing the consistency of this world through sounds and waves, patterns emerge in a dimly lit crack….the rising of the Milky Way – evolution, creation, love.
