NEW MUSIC: Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Remixes)

Since everyone else has had a go, it’s only fair that The 14th Minute belatedly have a go at Adele’s modern classic. And Kevin Graves joins in as well.

The 14th Minute say “We loved her vocal so much that we needed to bring it to our dancefloors, hopefully we have done the amazing original justice.” What they’ve done is a bit of a surprise. Nowhere are the synths that are The 14th Minute trademark. This has relatively light beats and rests mainly on the piano. The piano occasionally veers towards rave piano/Italo house piano. There’s something slightly polite about this remix. As if in awe of the vocal. Could have gone for a stronger rave piano feel perhaps to make the track feel revitalised.

As if that isn’t enough here’s another remix of ‘that’ track. This one’s by Kevin Graves from the US. This one thinks it’s indie disco. No it isn’t. Proper club track mate. Bit electro. Doesn’t depart too much from the basic template of the original. Fine remix. But I’m done with Adele for a while.
