VINYL BLAIR – SPACE DUB 1996

From The Blair Necessities Remixes (Part One), on Leftfield’s Hard Hands label, comes this rather fine groover.

Vinyl Blair, apart from being an awful pun, was William Nastri (Billy Nasty) and Steve Jones (more here). Most of their work is unsubtle, straight ahead techno of the beat-you-into-submission variety. This track though isn’t one of those. This is a more subtle funky track with definite hints of early Chemical Brothers from the fabulous low booming bass. A bit of a lost classic.
