RENEGADE SOUNDWAVE – BRIXTON

Renegade Soundwave had initial success, especially with Probably a Robbery (1990) but their Howyoudoin period (1994) was equally as productive, if less widely regarded. A single from the album was Brixton (1995), which is principally remembered for the Sabres of Paradise mix. But not this post. Instead, I’m going to focus on the Dub mix. Remove your eye glasses and take a listen to that phat bass. Their dub albums were easily as good as the original albums from which they were mixed.
