Masters In France – Fall Down

Never heard of Masters In France before, nor indeed of remixer Ben Gomori. But this is a lovely offbeat house combination. Listen only. But there’s a free download until 26 March of the original.

Masters In France are a rock band compared to Kasabian (though early Police sounds equally fitting). The original version of Fall Down is classic indie rock and need not detain us. We should move swiftly to the excellent remix. The Ben Gomori remix takes the high guitar line and makes it into a rhythm track. The vocals are sampled and distorted. Piano is added to give it an early 90s house feel but with a leftfield twist. Hardly conventional, this works beautifully to give a ‘lost moment’ groover.

Blurb: Masters of France will be offering to their fans and public a free download of their latest single ‘Fall Down’. The single will be available to download until the 26th March 2012. Having performed at numerous festivals in 2011 that included the Radio One Big Weekend, Wakestock, Strawberry Fields, SWN and Friends of Mine Festival the band are well placed for an exciting 2012. The single as well as the bands releases last year, have already enlisted heavy support from the likes Huw Stephens, Jen Long, Greg James and Tom Robinson to name a few. Their new single ‘Fall Down’ is to be released to commence their UK live tour in February as well as second tour in April.
