WHITEQUBE – FIREWORKS

A couple of young Americans try to recreate the sound of a UK rave circa 1991 with their noisy track Fireworks. Free download.

Whiteqube are  Jason Schary and T. Ryan Arnold. They say that “The style of Whiteqube can be best described as a mix of modern day Electro, infused with old school Techno and underground dance. If the Bloody Beetroots had an orgy with The Prodigy, Deadmau5, Nine Inch Nails, Nitzer Ebb, Underworld, and LA Style, the result would be Whiteqube.” The track on offering for you – Fireworks – is like a dream of 1991 but without having been there. It is an amalgam of  contemporary electro excitableness blended with any amount of samples, including synn drums, B movie film clips, funky drummer whooping, piano breaks, rave sirens and the rest. Their enthusiasm for something that’s part of my past, not something I’m discovering now, makes me feel old and jaded. If you weren’t there, this will sound great.
