Crystal Fighters – Earth Island (Youan Remix)

Youan’s one of those mysterious new artists that seem to get people on t’internet so excited. He’s 22 and from the UK. That’s all we know. Not sure I care awfully much about the mystery. But what we do have is a downtempo remix of a Crystal Castles track to listen and a free download of another tune from his facebook page.

The Crystal Castles remix is a sort of dub, dubstep, R&B, garage melange. Has a head-noddingly chilled approach to the tune. Things spin in and out and the pitch shifted vocals have the right amount of stoned ambience. Rather fine.
