Jack Deezl – Anchorage
I was wondering whether this would be an electronic cover of the Michelle Shocked tune. It’s not but it’s equally good. Jack has appeared here before but only as remixer. This time it’s an original tune. This has a brilliant spontaneity – explicable when Jack says “made this all in one day. kinda rough but it seems to fit the tune“. Yes, there are banks of synths but it isn’t the 80s style stuff that D bemoans of me. This is sleazier and dirtier. He says it’s “inspired by many nights of my youth spent hanging out at the local beach (Anchorage) and getting into trouble.” Free download.
