Kalipo – Millionaire of Love

You might remember we had a track from Kalipo the other day. Here’s another track, with a video as well. Part of the Stiff Little Spinners Sampler.

Kalipo is Jakob Häglsperger from Berlin. His last tune – Bierchucks – was classic cosmic disco. This time, something with a clearer vocal but a more disassembled tune. This is woozily downtempo, summery pop on the vocals but just a bit far out of reach. The tune eventually gets into a deep house groove but always threatens to go off track and spiral into cosmic disco. Pleasantly weird.

And the gentle watery video.

Blurb: Our sweet little offspring, the new series under the roof of our beloved Audiolith label, is growing slowly but steadily. The Stiff Little Spinners are in town to spread the word all over the place. And the word is that contemporary electronic club music is still in demand with its various genres ranging from Deep to Tech-House, from Cosmic Disco- to Electro Neo-Trance and associated styles. You can hear these styles in the best clubs around the world and is a popular feature among our network of friends, a musical family that has evolved from a Punk background, still is fascinated by the magic of a pumping 4-2-the-floor bassdrum, an essential momentum that never grows old.
