Joe C – Shakedown EP

A new EP from Joe C out now on Ground Level Records. Much of the EP is more electro breakbeats than the more usual breaks driven stuff. But there is one rather wonderful track that I wanted to draw to your attention. Graphite is a bass-driven but funky techno house number that manages to weave in a bit of classic house vocals to leave that thrilling contrast between the sleazy scuzzy bass and the soulfulness of the vocals.

And a free download for you of Rye Rye feat MIA – Bang (Joe C Bootleg)

Blurb: Joe C burst onto the scene earlier this year with his debut single Skunky, closely followed by Rubber Band and his contribution to the PlayGround compilation Sound Off. Now we present the Shakedown EP, five cuts of fresh bass heavy bombs. Taking a fresh approach to bass music, Joe combines cut up vocals, huge beats, melodic synths and industrial strength portions of bottom end to make his unique sound.
