Here’s a round-up of remix stuff that’s in danger of passing me by if I don’t get on with it. Free downloads.
First, Eat More Cake remix Chris Malinchak’s So Good To Me. The original’s a slightly soppy soulful house track just made for holiday romances. By dialing things down into a winter chill mode, EMC make more of the pathos within it and give it more kudos than it perhaps deserves. This is rather good and rather better than it has any right to be.

Secondly, Rendezvous make their track The Murf available for free download in its John Digweed and Nick Muir remix version. This 2011 track is lovely electronic synth house, with ascending synths and rock-type drums. Winning combination. The Digweed & Muir version adds a bit of extra bottom end thump for greater dance floor depth.

Thirdly, Elliot Adamson says “Who doesn’t like Marvin ey!” Well, me actually. Never was into that Motown thing. But the addition of big, fat beats and a little glitching makes this just about acceptable. Sadly, no free download.
