It’s not all gloom and doom
I do worry from time to time that this blog is too relentlessly downbeat and that the tunes tend towards the gloomy. Here’s a post that tries to redress the balance, in a slightly self-conscious way.
Where to start? Oh yes, you can’t get more relentlessly uplifting than Coldplay (even when they’re doing sad face). Been a couple of years since I had a Coldplay remix but this one from Jeremy Hills (previously here) caught my attention. I couldn’t tell you what the original of Midnight sounds like and I’m not prepared to find out. But the remix is a lovely bit of stately French house electronics. The best thing here is the treatment of the vocals, so you forget it’s Chris Martin.
