Does Slighter never sleep?
Not content with releasing an album this week, Slighter has also released a new single for free download, which he’s done as part of a mix for Eve Falcon’s “Evocative” show on Proton Radio. Does this man never sleep?

But this single departs from the cinematic breaks of the album to bring an ambient/IDM glitch tune. It’s rather good and mirrors his ‘FSOL meets Autechre’ shorthand description. There is a weightless ambient quality which is regularly undercut by the discombobulating neo-random noise of Autechre at their most Aphex wilful.
