Abdo – Forge

I don’t usually go for modern progressive house tunes. It’s too often a cover for predictable, slightly unthinking dance music. But Abdo (Toronto, Canada) has produced something in Abdo that marries darkness of emotion from prog house with the mechanical effect of tech house to produce a rather fine tune. It’s something that you need to listen to large chunks of, rather than sampling, since the beauty of it is in the complexity that slowly unfolds. Shame it’s not downloadable.
