Chet Faker – Gold
Chet Faker has, quite rapidly cemented himself on the scene over the past three years. This single, which can only be described as musical heaven. The Melbourne based artist has delivered the goods over and over again, with his irresistible vocals and stylistic indifference. This track is no doubt simplistic in nature, however beautifully effective… a friendly treat to the ears.
Kudos must also go to mixing engineer Eric J Dubowsky whose work on the whole album is incredible, as expected of someone with such high credentials (including producing the theme track for UFC). You can listen to that which is, without a doubt, my favourite track on the album.
